What if not everything in the world of cosmetics had been created? What if there was still an offer to build, centered on values, high standards, and combined expertise?

I dreamed of a brand that was clean, natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and made in France. Katya Thomas is a dreamer, perhaps, but she's down to earth. Particularly well-anchored in her Norman roots, which she says give her strength. She designed Rose Lane, her makeup line, with a mix of conviction and extensive experience in the beauty industry. She entered the industry through communications, with an ISCPA diploma in hand. Her first position was with the Alès group (Phyto, Liérac): she was responsible for building what wasn't yet called a digital identity. "Hounded" by L'Oréal, she has since developed well-honed techniques: "I started looking after bloggers, then influencers. I created events, brought brands into the world of social media. Those years were the foundations of these new sales channels." A desire gradually developed. "I often had questions about product ingredients, their safety, and their origin. Often, I questioned the manufacturers, to no avail. I developed a real sensitivity to these issues. A brand had to be able to respond. And guarantee them."

The big leap. Katya created her brand. She found a laboratory in Normandy that met her specifications, financed herself with her own funds, and founded Rose Lane, in Boulogne, of course, her beloved city. Her range now includes four shades of lipstick, a high-performance blush, and a mascara. The makeup offering will be completed with concealer, pencils, and more. The products are 100% French and vegan, "no cochineal, keratin, or animal fat. I wanted a brand that could be used every day, safely." She began to make a name for herself through her community, and the press took an interest in her products. She was selected for the highly popular Made In France trade show in November. Katya laughs often, her energy intact. "This adventure is exhilarating! And now, I see that my first customers are reordering, and people like the products." To relax, she has her recipes: a badminton enthusiast, she practices every Monday at the ACBB. And this nature lover recharges her batteries during walks with her dog, in the many green spaces of her city: "I've lived here for twenty years, it's a great love story!" Ch. D.
